Measure an object |
|
1. | Choose Tools > Measuring > Show Measuring toolbar. |
2. | Choose View > Toolbars > Properties Bar, and set the scaling ratio. Set the ratio of page units (such as pixels, centimeters, or inches) to the units (such as centimeters, inches, feet, miles, or kilometers) that you want the page units to represent. The measurements you create will then be calculated according to the scaling ratio. |
3. | Do any of the following: |
| ΓÇó | | To measure the distance between two points, select the Distance tool , click the first point, and then click the second point. |

| ΓÇó | | To measure multiple line segments of an object, select the Perimeter tool , and then click each point that you want to measure. When you are finished, double-click the last point, or position the pointer over the last point until a small circle appears next to the pointer and click. |

| ΓÇó | | To measure the area of an object, select the Area tool , and then continue clicking additional anchor points. To complete the measurement, position the pointer over the first anchor point until a small circle appears next to the pointer and click. |

4. | The measurements appear in the Properties toolbar. |
Note: If the Annotations option is selected on the Measuring Tools Properties toolbar, a line annotation is created to represent the measurement. |
